The Mom Factor

I've made a mathematical discovery that matches the value of Pi and the Golden Ratio in its importance and fundamentality... I call it the "Mom Factor". Value = 3.00.

Yup. Thats the factor by which you multiply any number mentioned by your Mom. Example situations:

- I'll get ready in 10 minutes and then we'll go => she'll be down in half an hour
- Lets go now and hand over the wedding invitations to two of my friends in Mandaveli => you'll be visiting 6 people
- We'll stopover at Nilgiri's to buy a few provisions => few*3 = too many for my patience
- Here, have a slice of mango => there'll be 3 on your plate
- Hurry! We only have 5 minutes left! => you have fifteen minutes left.
- We need to go buy you a dress => any guesses how many dresses we'll end up buying?

Cheers,
Prashanth.

Lol... fortunately my mom is a total computer-o-phobe.

I will be giving up my machine to my mom and my new s-i-l (who is as bad as my mom) for *sob* experimentation once i leave for the US. My heart bleeds for my poor comp..

my mom plays Spider Solitaire with passion. Sh also knows how to check her Gmail account and mail people.

I used to teach her from office. "Top right hand corner..compose..yes..press that...copy karna hai? Select karo..ab ctrl aur c dabao..haan saath mein"

collegaues giving me bewildered looks.

When I read this, I couldn't help smiling: are mommies all around the world the same?

Prashanth said...

Ahhh.... thats fallacious reasoning... 'cos that means that all girls are the same (since almost all of them will ultimately become moms)... which is an extremely sexist view which not even I would agree to. Or, that would mean that all girls become the same after a certain age... which isn't any better, is it?

Am I delirious with sleep or did that paragraph almost make sense?

Well, it takes a girl to become a mother to get into that mold and it takes two to make a baby which means it is we, men, who make mommies and so are we to shoulder the blame… this line of reasoning is all awry like the WMD!! :-p

To loop in everyone: It takes a baby to make a mom, yeah the adopted ones including, and all babies grow up, agreed a few remain joshes forever, into people like us, men and Women(notice the capital W :D) and so all of us are to be blamed for the mommie syndrome!!

Now please don't ostracize me, remember that small lot which never grows up, I head that lot...

SP,
That vodka has gone to ur head dude! Or did u test your cerebral prowess against the wall?
People,
Before you begin to unsheath your swords, what I have written is just a rhetoric: a figure of speech remember?
On a general note, mothers do tend to display similar anxieties, concerns, instincts and aspirations when their children are concerned.

Vc,
You are just tooooooooooo funny man!
